Its been a while, I think I forgot I had a blog.

Well so much has happened. We bought and sold a house, moved twice, and are currently splitting our time between Phoenix (75 degrees!!) and Eagle Mountain. Jesse is working in AZ for the winter, and I must say skipping a winter isn't half bad.

Brighton is almost 8 months! Wow thats weird. She has somehow managed to change from an infant into a full on baby without me noticing. She couldn't be any more happier of a baby or her head would explode. She literally wakes up laughing and smiling. It's impossible to be sad around such a happy person.

Recent happenings

Finally someone came to visit us here in Washington. My sister Amber and my two nieces came to enjoy some unusually cold weather for a few days. We went to the riverfront park in downtown Spokane. It has these two huge scary waterfalls. Kya for some reason thought Amber was going to throw her off the bridge into the water so she didn't look too happy in this picture.

There is this GIANT radio flyer wagon at the park the kids can play on, pretty cool.

Brighton is enjoying her new stroller, nice and comfy. Right before she pooped all over it.

It was Kya's birthday while they were here, 5 years old. We had a little party for her, full of a bunch of adults. She was just happy to have her Hanna Montana cake.

It's been a month already!! It's gone by so fast, yet it seems like she has always been here. She is starting to smile at her daddy and me, and I think she has started to figure out she has a voice, because she is always making some sort of noise. She loves to be naked, as you can see from the pictures. I really don't think we could have gotten an easier baby. She sleeps great at night, she is always happy, she eats good, she loves baths and being outside, so we got lucky.

Little Miss

So tomorrow little miss Brighton will be 2 weeks old. I thought it would be good to post some pictures, since we stole her away and took her to Washington. She is looking different everyday. She seems to learn something new everyday too. Like last night, i was washing her face and the cold cloth must have scared her because she hissed at me, just like a cat. It was hilarious.

New Summer in a New City

So here we are in Liberty Lake, Washington for another 4 months. It is right in between Spokane, Wa and Couer d'Alene, ID. I'll be here for until the end of May and then I'll come back to Utah to have the baby, which is due on June 20th. Jesse will come back on the 15th. Hopefully everything will go as planned. Cross your fingers for us!

Cruise 08

A week ago, we got out of this frozen beast and headed to Florida for a cruise compliments of Jesse's work. There were 18 of us total, and we all had a blast!!

Our first stop was Cozumel, we toured the island in dune buggy's, ate at nice little place by the beach and got a nice massage.

Our second stop was Belize, we decided to go to an ocean water park, it was rad, there was a rope swing, a giant slide, and best of all no jelly fish.

My last weekend in California, I couldn't pass up the chance to visit my cousin Emily in San Fran. It was definitely by far the coolest city i've ever been to, so much to do and see. We had a great time.

We we to the beach to get out of the heat and relax a little. It was a perfect 65 degrees, and a delicious BBQ. Montana was visiting so this was her first trip to the beach.

So here we are, another 4 months in another city. I can't say i like packing up and leaving our nest that is Utah. Experiencing and getting to know another city for a few months makes it all worth while. Last year we were in Portland, Bakersfield is probably the exact opposite of P-town. Its dry, hot, and the only trees, are these stem looking things with a few leaves on the top. They call them palm trees, and they leave something to be desired in the shade department. I like it here though. Our ward is very nice, we go to the family ward with two other couples and when 6 new members showed up we were the talk of the tabernacle. We felt very welcome. I am looking forward to the end of August when we come home, because no place really feels like home like Utah feels like home.

I thought i would send a quick update on the happenings of my life currently and recently, just to get everyone up to date. I'm working at Brighton Ski Resort, just as a fun job to pass the time and provide a free season pass. Consequently i snowboard almost everyday, and now my knees hurt. Jesse and I are getting ready to pack up again for the summer. This summer we are going to Bakersfield, CA. I hear it's hot and smelly there, so we'll see. I'll keep updates on the funk factor. Oh and I'm getting my concealed weapons permit next week, so i'll be packing heat pretty soon. Other than that I am pretty much the same.
